Summer Reading Program
Our annual Summer Reading Program is back with fun for all ages! The most valuable rewards kids earn from summer reading are enhanced reading skills and a deeper love for learning. This program encourages all ages to read and allows families to discover new things by participating in weekly programs, completing challenges and picking up Take-Home Kits. This year’s slogan is “Tails and Tales” and the program runs from June 1 through July 23.
Register yourself and your family members through the online tracker – Wandoo Reader.
From the Wandoo Reader registration page:
To register as an individual click the "Join here" link as shown below.
To register as a family click the "Enter Family Management Portal" button as shown below.
You can also request a paper form to pick up from the Library starting June 1st.
We challenge you to read just 25 minutes each day and track your minutes in Wandoo Reader to help reach our community goal of 100,000 total minutes read this summer. If we meet our goal, the Library will donate to the local food bank.
Log the number of minutes you spent reading or listening from June 1-July 23 and earn prizes. Any reading counts – books, comic books, magazines, you name it! You can also listen to a grown-up read.
Don’t forget, the Library is open so come inside to check out your favorite books!
Pick up your earned prizes from the Library starting June 8th.
100 minutes = Awesome Local Coupons
250 minutes = Dragon Tail Backpack
500 minutes = Summer T-shirt & Ticket to the Summer Pool Party (At Blue Bell Aquatic Center on July 23rd)
500 + minutes= Keep reading and win 1 ticket for the end of summer prize drawing for every extra 100 minutes you read
