Planning
Planning is responsible for the planning and zoning issues within the city. Planning serves as the staff liaison to the Planning and Zoning Commission as well as the Board of Adjustments and Appeals.
The City of Brenham's long-range planning is designed as a framework for guiding future development, redevelopment, and community enhancement in the City and its surrounding area over the next 20 years and beyond. The purpose of Brenham's Comprehensive Plan is to establish a vision, along with realistic goals and achievable strategies that residents, businesses and landowners, major institutions, civic groups, the Planning and Zoning Commission, and public officials prefer - and will support with action - in the years ahead.
