Youth Programs


Little Diggers - The City of Brenham Recreation Department and Brenham High School Colleyball Team will host it's annual Little Digger Volleyball Program. Participants will learn basic fundamentals including: passing, setting and serving.

Register at the BBAC August 3rd - August 29th
Program Dates - August 29 - October 3rd
Sundays only, excluding Labor Day weekend
Time: 2:00pm - 4:00pm
Location: Brenham High School Fymnasium
Cost: $30.00 (includes t-shirt

Babysitter Certification CourseDate February 6, 2010 Location Blue Bell Aquatic Center Time 9:00am – 4:30pm Cost $40.00 per participant (Includes class materials & lunch)
The American Red Cross Babysitter’s Certification Course teaches skills and confidence for inexperienced babysitters. Students will learn first aid, injury prevention, responsible decision making and more. Classes are limited to first 10 participants. This program is for boys and girls ages 11-15.

Next course is November 6th - register at the Blue Bell Aquatic Center

 


 

 

Community Tennis - Thursday nights from 7pm - 9pm at Hasskarl Tennis Courts. Everyone is welcome!


Brenham Swim Club - Brenham Swim Club is a year round United States Swimming (USS) club.

Groups: Silver - Ages 10 and under | Gold - Ages 11 and over
Fall Practice: Monday-Thursday: Silver group 4:00-4:45 | Gold Group: 4:00-6:00
Both Groups 4:00-5:00 Friday
Cost: Silver $50.00 per month | Gold: $60.00 per month
*2010-2011 USS registration $66.00 (required yearly for all swimmers)
2010-2011 practice will start August 30, 2010.

Texas Round Up

Get Fit Texas!  The Texas Round Up is a state wide event that aims to get Texans moving and improve their overall health.  We encourage you to join the Fit Texas Challenge and participate in the GetFitTexas program.  Visit the website for information on these programs as well as access to a variety of tools needed to establish regular physical activity routines and healthy habits.  The Texas Round Up recognizes Brenham as one of its FitCities for our promotion of health and fitness to the community. 


Adult Slow Pitch Softball LeagueRegister February 15 – March 5 Date Week of March 29 Time 7:00, 8:00, & 9:00pm Cost $300.00 (registration info | form)
This program provides adults with an organized softball league. Game are held at Linda Anderson Sports Complex. There are three seasons: Spring, Summer and Fall. Each offer a Men’s and a Co-Ed League that consists of a 10 game guarantee and a double elimination tournament at the end of the season. T-Shirts are provided to divisional champions and awards are given to top finishers in the tournament. Co-Ed plays on Mondays nights and Men’s teams play on Wednesday nights. quickscores.com/brenham Must be 16 years or older.

Adult Swim Lessons
30 minutes

Adult swim lessons can be done on an individual basis. To schedule a time, please call the Aquatic Center at 979-377-7250.

Water Works
60 minutes

Tuesdays & Thursdays 10:00am - 11:00am
2 week session - $15.00 plus pool pass
4 week session - $28.00 plus pool pass

Classes offer a wide range of moderate movements to improve range of motion, balance, and coordination while strengthening and toning the body.  These classes are instructed by Jane Moorhead.
