Residential
The monthly rate is the sum of the monthly customer charge ($17.04) plus the monthly volume charge of $4.45 per 1,000 gallons of water usage in excess of 3,000 gallons. The water usage for the purpose of calculating the volume charge is the average  metered water consumption for the two preceding winter months of January and February. This average consumption shall be used for billing purposes for the 12 month period beginning with the first cycle for wastewater service billed in April.

Industrial
The monthly rate is determined by the volume of the metered consumption, and the BOD/TSS Surcharge as calculated under Section 8f of the City of Brenham Sanitary Sewer Rate Schedule.

PLEASE NOTE: The City of Brenham is divided into four billing cycles. Because of this, the actual dates used for the purpose of calculating the volume charge for sewer vary according to the billing cycle.
