Police Department now has Reports Available On-Line

In an effort to reduce the inconvenience to those involved in traffic accidents, and adding to our philosophy of providing better service to our community The City of Brenham has contracted with PoliceReports.US, LLC to implement a new online program for obtaining copies of traffic accident reports. This will reduce the inconvenience for both citizens and insurance companies by allowing the flexibility of getting the reports at their leisure since the program is available twenty-four hours a day seven days a week.

Beginning January 1, 2008, accident reports generated on or after that date can be accessed through the following site:

http://brenhamtx.policereports.us

In order to download copies of reports citizens will need to have a computer, printer, access to the Internet and a credit card to purchase.

To search for an accident report, simply enter two of the following required pieces of information:

Date of accident

The name of any person involved in the accident

Specific location of accident

Reports can be printed from the Internet, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for the same $6.00 fee as purchasing it in person at the Police Department.

Please allow 24 - 48 hours after the accident has occurred before attempting to access the report.Hit & Run accidents may require additional time.

Electronic distribution of accident reports via the web will allow the City of Brenham to be more efficient and provide an increased level of customer service.

If there are any questions regarding this service, please contact the Brenham Police Department Records Section (979) 337-7337, Monday through Friday, from 8:00am – 5:00pm.
